HOW TO BECOME A CLIENT | CONTACT FOR CLIENT SERVICES

Helping Hands offers senior residents affordable chore services to help mainain a lifestyle of dignity and independence at home.

Many seniors are on fixed incomes, living alone, or with limited family support. They seek assistance to help cope with life'e everyday activities. That's when Helping Hands Chore Service can be invaluable.

To start the process, our Program Director will meet with prospective clients to assess their needs and match them with compatible caregivers who can provide services that support their specific needs.  Our clients maintain control of their schedule, as well as the type services they receive. All the services are provided on an hourly basis.  

Clients are given an opportunity to donate toward the costs for the services received.  

Services include:

  • Light housekeeping
  • Laundry
  • Household chores
  • Grocery shopping
  • Running errands
  • Meal preparation
  • Light yard work
  • Transportation services to medical appointments
  • Medication reminders
  • Companionship
  • Respite for family caregivers

HOW TO BECOME A CLIENT

Do you need extra help at home?  Do you have a loved one who could benefit from our chore services?  If yes, please call our office to learn more about client eligibility and the enrollment process.  We will respond to your inquiry within 24 hours. Clients must be age 60 or over and reside in our service area of Barkhamsted, Colebrook, New Hartford, Norfolk or Winsted/Winchester.
